West of St Tropez lies the Giens Peninsula – an unspoilt natural paradise. The Presqu’île de Giens is connected to the main land by two strips of land. Its northern side features shallow sandy beaches, its southern side steep cliffs overlook a myriad of secluded creeks.
The Giens peninsula hillside is home to exclusive properties as well as a tiny vienyard: the Domaine de la Presqu’île de Giens. It produces white, rosé , red wines as well as a delicious Muscat.
◼︎◼︎◼︎
Located a few miles off the Giens Peninsula, the Hyères archipelago also called the Golden islands consists of the Porquerolles island, Port Cros and Ile du Levant.
Port Cros is a National Marine Park and its access is strictly regulated. Ile du Levant is a Military site.
As for Porquerolles, it is only accessible by smaller yachts or tenders.
Beautiful beaches, bays, and a small port make Porquerolles quite a unique destination. Porquerolles boasts a famous vineyard: the Domaine de la Courtade.
Cruising along the Coast further West, you may visit Saint-Mandrier sur Mer, pass by the Embiez Archipelago, Bandol, famous for its beautiful beaches, crystal-clear waters and rich wine heritage and Cassis.
Please note, there may be anchorage restrictions and specific authorized areas along this itinerary.
Did you know that the Embiez Island was bought by French industrialist Paul Ricard, who gave his name to the eponymous Pastis: a liqueur with herbal notes from ingredients like anise seeds, fennel and licorice roots.
Chartering a yacht in Provence will take you to fine vineyards where you will enjoy gourmet dining and a memorable wine tasting experience.
